2.0 Web Awards
I had a look at Google Maps under the "mapping" heading in Web 2.0 awards.
I loved it, it is like haveing a modified GPS.
A few days after looking at Google maps, a patron came in and asked for a Lonely Planet book on Canada.
I inquired further to get more information on how to help her, and found she really wanted a map on how to get from Banff to Vancoverby car. I was able to show her how to use Google maps, we found a map that suited her needs, complete with detailed directions on distance betweeen towns along the way, and the time it would take to complete the journey.
The patron was absolutely delighted and grateful with the information provided, and said she would go home and try it herself.
